Gretchen Hoffman was raised in Fargo, ND, attended parochial school and graduated from Fargo South High School. Gretchen is a former small business owner, Yarn Renaissance, LLC from 1999-2007, currently sits on the Board of Directors of GPK Products, Inc. a family-owned manufacturer of PVC water and wastewater fittings, and is a Registered Nurse.
Gretchen and her husband Virgil have been married for 27 years, reside in Vergas, MN and have 3 grown sons, Jonathan, Joseph, and Douglas. Gretchen was active with her son’s school activities, volunteering for various functions over the course of the boys’ school years.
Gretchen has worked in many areas of nursing. A former Cardiac Intensive care nurse, Emergency Room Nurse, staff nurse, and Chemotherapy/Oncology nurse, Gretchen understands the intricacies of providing quality patient care, what it takes to be an advocate for people who are in very stressful times, and the challenges of providing care in an environment of diminishing reimbursement.
Gretchen is pro-life and currently volunteers at the local Pro-Life Clinic as a receptionist and Registered Nurse.
Gretchen is pro-2nd Amendment and is a current conceal and carry permit holder, and she and her husband Virgil are NRA members.
Gretchen’s main job has been that of wife and mother. Gretchen believes it is our moral obligation that, for our kids and grandkids, we must leave this state and country better than we found it. Out of control government spending has endangered that future for our kids. Many in our government have forgotten about the personal responsibility needed for success and that more government programs encourage dependence, which is the polar opposite of what is needed to restore our state and country to greatness.
